Zodiac Sign Categories

There is a page for each sign of the zodiac. In the zodiac, like the lines of the hexagrams, there are different layers or levels of meaning; different levels of correspondences. It is these layers that determine the significance of each zodiac sign. The first two zodiac categories of (1) day­light or darkness increasing, and (2) daylight or darkness being greater, are essentially the same as the I Ching distinctions for the light and the dark or the firm and the yielding. The remaining categories are standard astrological traditions formulated by divisions of the circle and associa­tions to the seasons and nature. Each sign has a different combination of categories, which de­termine its unique character and implications.
